TENGKU IESTA TENGKU ALAUDIN
Chief Executive Officer

Tengku Iestarabie Putra Tengku Alaudin (Tengku Iesta) was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of Selgate Healthcare in August 2020. Subsequently, he was also appointed as the Chief ExecutiveOfficerr of Selangkah Ventures Sdn Bhd (SVSB) in November 2020.

He has over 23 years of experience in corporate strategy, corporate planning, project management and financial operations across different industries encompassing financial technology and financial services, payment systems, media, plantations and audit firms.

Prior to joining Selgate Healthcare, Tengku Iesta served in Payments Network Malaysia (PayNet) where he led the finance and administration functions. As Director of Finance, Tengku Iesta advised on the business and operational strategies of PayNet’s products and businesses inclusive of marketing and promotion and also addressed organizational issues and effectiveness.

Prior to joining PayNet, Tengku Iesta served in Media Prima, where he was involved in setting up and leading turnaround exercises for television channels and entertainment portals. At Media Prima, Tengku Iesta also produced award-winning movies, and led front line content sales and distribution teams. His responsibilities spanned television channels, radio stations, print, online portals, content production and marketing and distribution, digital marketing as well as event management.

Prior to Media Prima, Tengku Iesta worked in Maybank Investment Berhad with responsibilities in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, as well as corporate restructuring and transformation. He started his career as an auditor with BDO Simpson Xavier and Grant Thornton in Ireland where he spent 4 years in audit and business assurance.

Tengku Iesta holds a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) in Accounting & Finance from De Montfort University, Leicester, United Kingdom. He is also a Fellow Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland (“FCA ICAI”) and a Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”).

DR HELMI ZAKARIAH
Chief Information Officer

Dr Helmi Zakariah (MD, MPH) had his formal training in Medicine & International Public Health, and currently is the CEO of AIME Inc (AI for Medical Epidemiology) – a member of the WHO/ITU Working Group for AI in Outbreak Prediction.

When the Covid19 pandemic reached Malaysia, he was tasked to lead the Digital Epidemiology portfolio for the Selangor State Task Force for Covid19 (STFC) – the most densely populated state in Malaysia, where he pioneered the nation’s first e-tracing ecosystem and IRC (Inherent Risk of Contagion) Modelling for outbreak containment.

Within this capacity, he founded SELANGKAH – the Selangor State Digital Health & Welfare platform, and is appointed as a member of SELPHAC (Selangor Public Health Advisory Committee)

He regularly share his thought in global health platform such as the Chatham House, World Economic Forum, and Commonwealth Digital Health Forum.

DATUK WIRA S. SATYA KUMAR
Chief Operating Officer

Datuk Wira Satya Kumar is the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Selangkah Ventures Sdn Bhd (SVSB). He is also the co-founder and the Managing Director of Hayat Technologies which co-owns SVSB. He is an experienced entrepreneur who has been active in the corporate and non-profit space for over two decades. He helms the angel investment group DVE Sapta as its Group Managing Director which has assets under management of more than RM1Billion.

Satya sits on multiple boards of startups and scale-ups focusing on artificial intelligence, data analytics, and mobility technologies.

MUHAMMAD AZFIZAM HAMZAH
Chief Finance Officer

Muhammad Azfizam Hamzah joined Selgate Corporation Sdn Bhd on August 2016 as the General Manager of Business Development and he is responsible for the group venturing through selective strategic investment in healthcare such as hospital development, insurance scheme, GP clinics, Pharmacy and Dental.

He holds a Bachelor Degree of Accounting from the Universiti Teknologi MARA and he is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). In 2017, he was trained in Healthcare Project Management at Harvard University, Boston, United States of America.

He is currently the Chief Financial Officer of both Selgate Healthcare Sdn Bhd and Selangkah Ventures Sdn Bhd (SVSB), a wholly owned subsidiary of Selgate Corporation with total assets worth more than RM250mil with responsibility for tax, regulatory reporting, financial accounting, management reporting, business finance advisory and financial planning.

Muhammad Azfizam has over 15 years of audit and investment banking experience, covering project finance, M&A Advisory, Audit and Risk Management. Previously, he was the Director of Project Finance at CIMB Investment Bank for 11 years. Prior to joining CIMB, he was the Associate at Pricewaterhouse Coopers Kuala Lumpur.

DR MUAZ OMAR
Executive Chairman

Group Senior General Manager, Healthcare and IT; Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, SELGATE Healthcare

Dr Muaz is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Selgate Healthcare and was trained in Healthcare Project Management at Harvard University. He holds a Bachelor of Medical Science from St Andrews University; Master in Management from Monash University and Doctor in Business Administration from Swiss School of Management.

He has more than two decades of experience in healthcare management, property development and public relations with extensive tenures at KPJ Healthcare, Oxley Holdings (Singapore), Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) and KRA Group.

Dr Muaz leads Selgate Healthcare with total assets worth more than RM250 million. Selgate will be operating more than 10 hospitals in the next decade. The group currently owns a chain of GP, pharmacy and dental clinics nationwide; a Labuan-based insurance company and a Managed Care Organisation or BPO company. Selgate also owns a certified diagnostics laboratory, a home nursing/physiotherapy outfit and a biomedical engineering company. It also owns a lifestyle, e-wallet and healthcare mobile app — SELANGKAH.

Muaz developed Skim Insurans Peduli Sihat, the first universal healthcare scheme in Malaysia for the B40 group in Selangor with an initial budget of RM125 million. Similar schemes are being implemented in Perak, Kedah and Terengganu.

Under his stewardship, Selgate Hospitals are being developed in different phases in Rawang, Sepang, Setia Alam, Johor Bahru, Mont Kiara, Shah Alam and Kuala Selangor. Selgate will be managing some 1,000 hospital beds within the next 10 years.
